Ryan was born and raised on Malcolm Island. He has won 5 awards for his carvings, which are life like and eccentric works that reflect the personality and intrigue of a questioning mind. Ryan does Chain Saw carving demonstrations.

Ryan was featured in the Sointula Artopia Art Show and is now showing work at the Kuvat Artist Gallery here in Sointula.
