Activities & Tours

Malcolm Island is an Eco-tourist Utopia. We have great hiking trails and wonderful beach access with spectacular views in every direction.

The Island is located at the edge of the Broughton Archipelago, an amazingly beautiful Marine Park. The park is worth a boat cruise or kayaking trip through its tiny islands that dot the water for as far as the eye can see. The wild life that you are likely to come upon include orcas, humpbacks, eagles, seals, sea lions, dolphins and many more.

Hiking Trails

Sointula has an easy to hike trail located in town called the Mateoja Heritage Trail. The Mateoja trail takes you through an original settlement site and on through the woods to Big Lake, a great stop for swimming or a picnic.

The Beautiful Bay Trail is located just out of town at the Bere Point Campground. The trail was built a few years ago and stretches along the north shore offering great views of the ocean and mainland coastal range.
